Well as promised I will make up for yesterday’s not really decluttering. I have actually already given these items away as they match my comforter from day 3. Here are my pillow cases, a sheet, and a bed skirt all gone. The sheet I only used a few times as it started to pill like crazy and it just drives me nuts! Gives us a lot more room in the linen closet :)
Well, as I’ve mentioned previously, I am visiting my sister in Philadelphia (and having a lovely time!). My sister, Kerri, decided she wanted to get a haircut. Something new! Something exciting! Something very different. It’s been a long time since she’s had short hair (approximately 22 years) and thought she’d give it a try!
She is donating her hair to Locks of Love, an organization that creates and donates wigs to children who have lost their hair due to various medical reasons.
Now this may not count as a decluttering day for me, but don’t worry, I’ll make up for it tomorrow! P.s. Sorry for the crappy pics. Was limited to a camera phone and bad lighting at the time. (I know, excuses, excuses…)
Here at 365 Headquarters, we strive to encourage others to declutter their lives.
As I am still out of the country visiting my sister in Philadelphia I’m grabbing another backup as I am not home to find new things. This is another pair of Evan’s boxers that have become more like a skirt than boxers. He never ever wears them because there are better ones that are still intact, and it’s just taking up room in the drawer.
Well out of the mound that is my plastic container cupboard lived this container with two lids. Couldn’t tell you what happened to the other container…
Anyway, I have enough other containers that I don’t need this one, especially since its broken in the corner and quite sharp. Into the recycling it goes! Little bit more room in the cupboard.
So I was looking through the house for things to get rid of when I came across my pogs! (remember those?) I emptied the bag out on the table deciding that I wanted to reminisce about the good ol’ days when I used to play with them.
In the bag was this poker chip. I’m confused as to why it’s in here and I do not know where it is from. Needless to say, it’s of no use to me. Out it goes!
So I’m pretty bad at keeping an organized food cupboard and fridge. However! Evan is fantastic at it. So he basically took everything out of the cupboard and reorganized it for me. It now looks fantastic and allowed me to get the toaster, 4 canisters (you know those flour/sugar canisters), and our kettle into the cupboard and off the counter. Which I love because I hate unnecessary clutter on the counters.
Anyway! During this taking the food out of the cupboard process we came across these cans and I know I am never going to eat these and I’m pretty sure he’s not going to either. So I brought them with me to Hamilton (where my family lives), to see if my Mom knew of a convenient place to donate it. I asked her, and she said well! Tomorrow we are going around the neighbourhood to collect food donations for the food bank. Well. What perfect timing! So I gave her these cans. Better than sitting in the cupboard until they expire!
